Unlock Over a Decade of Trading Mastery!

With nearly 14 years of trading experience, my journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.

📆 Around 14 years ago, I stumbled upon the possibility of trading financial markets and assets as a retail trader. This revelation shattered my preconceived notions, opening doors to a realm I once thought unattainable. It's often when false beliefs fade away that the leap to the next level becomes possible. This applies not only to trading but to life itself – progress is born from change.

🔍 In 2009/2010, I discovered the world of buying various financial instruments through CFDs and forex products, even with funds I didn't possess—thanks to the magical leverage effect. This was a second quantum leap, and with it came an understanding of the consequences of leveraged trading: debt.

🔄 It didn't stop there. I soon grasped the concept of not only buying something with money I didn't have but also selling something I didn't own, all while using borrowed funds. Short selling felt like a wild idea initially, but I embraced it and understood its potential.

📊 Then came the era of price charts, Japanese candlesticks, RSIs, MACDs, stochastics, and a plethora of indicators offered by CFD brokers for free. I was encouraged to spot and trade trends, but I quickly realized that the markets were often devoid of trends, especially for day trading and scalping – my preferred styles.

❓ This raised questions:

• Why follow non-existent trends?
• Why trade breakout setups when most are false?
• Why dive into economic statistics during volatile times?

🕵️‍♂️ Curiosity led me to scrutinize the business model of the industry, especially within the CFD and forex sectors. I discovered that merely observing price movements wasn't enough; I was missing a crucial piece of the puzzle. In 2011, I unlocked the doors to volume data, centralized future markets, the tape (time and sales windows), and the footprint chart. The industry's business model gradually unraveled before my eyes.

💡 A significant turning point occurred in 2013 when I comprehended the relationship between liquidity scarcity and price volatility. This marked a pivotal moment in my learning journey. I quickly realized that volume and liquidity, while distinct, were two sides of the same coin. You couldn't have one without the other. To execute a limit order, you needed a market order to match, and for a market order to execute, a limit order had to be available on the opposite side.

📊 I understood that the real market dynamics were not solely "buyers vs. sellers" but rather "market operators vs. limit operators"—VOLUME vs. LIQUIDITY. This liquidity dance played out for both buy and sell orders, with Market Makers orchestrating it all. It was a revelation.

📈 It became clear that price formation mechanisms originated from the order book, a playground favored by Market Makers and HFT robots. However, the speed at which the order book operated made it difficult to harness its full potential.

🔬 I embarked on a quest to find methods to decode the order book's data. This journey led to the development of quantmap and other quant tools focusing on the microstructure of the order book, starting in 2015.

🕐 By 2017, I realized that it was crucial to visualize what the human eye couldn't perceive—the activities of High-Frequency Market Making, better known as HFT. These HFT entities had been shaping financial markets since 2007.

📊 Studying the beginnings of HFT, I recognized that financial markets were often highly manipulated by HFT algorithms, acting as Market Makers. This standard operating procedure became the foundation of price formation mechanisms.

🔍 Through extensive research, statistical studies, and the development of indicators, I've created and fine-tuned various HFT alerts. These alerts now appear directly on the chart when an HFT event occurs, making the once invisible, visible.

🤖 One of my ultimate goals is to develop an automated trading algorithm capable of scalping based on the HFT signals I've developed. Today, the adventure truly begins as I conduct countless backtests, gather data, and seek correlations, constants, and new concepts that emerge. Backtests are the foundation—producing and processing data, leading to optimization solutions that limit risks and enhance profits.

This journey has been about unraveling the complexities of trading, and I'm excited to continue exploring the depths of the financial markets, unlocking new insights, and sharing my findings with you.
